Managing internal misuse of sensitive information
Problem
An employee within a private financial institution had accessed restricted recordings and created media which could be catastrophic to their reputation.
Response
In partnership with a HR advisor, Toro despatched a forensic examination team to secure evidence for internal investigation and employee disciplinary case. With full consent of the employee, data from the recording system and employee’s handset was gathered and placed into Toro’s secure storage facility pending the outcome of the internal hearing.
Outcome
Evidence gathered using forensic evidence gathering techniques provided the HR and investigations department with the information required to conduct their own internal disciplinary case. Catastrophic reputational damage was averted.
